Prior to performing digital signatures with CROSSCAP Enterprise, the following settings need to be made:
Settings, CROSSCAP Enterprise server
These settings are made using the CROSSCAP Enterprise administration client. Please browse to toolbar Administration and operate button Settings.
The following two items determine CROSSCAP Enterprise behaviour with respect to digital signatures. More specifically, you will be setting threshold settings for document spot checks. CROSSCAP Enterprise will not enable the signature module unless both threshold values have been reached. You may use either of the threshold values on their own (set the other threshold to 0), or in combination.
Signature threshold
The signature threshold value specifies the percentage of scanned pages an operator must inspect and confirm, before digital signatures is enabled.
Signature threshold per document
The signature threshold per document value determines the percentage of scanned documents an operator must inspect and confirm, before digital signatures is enabled.
Settings in project templates
These settings can be made using the CROSSCAP Enterprise administration client or the CROSSCAP Scan-Client (with appropriate user rights). You may either create a completely new project template or modify an existing one. Please proceed as follows:
Select or add export option TIFF or PDF/A. Only these two export formats support digital signatures. Activate the Signature option by selecting the desired signature format from the drop-down menu. Save the modified project template. In future, whenever this project template is used to launch a batch-job, the CROSSCAP Enterprise server will route this job through the CROSSCAP Multi-Client, for digital signatures (see chapter Getting started, section Workflow CROSSCAP Enterprise).
