CROSSCAP Enterprise is designed for processing simple, advanced and qualified signatures and can generate signatures for up to 100 files or documents with only a single PIN verification (requires the use of a signature card capable of multi-signature mode).
Signature workstation
CROSSCAP Enterprise digital signatures requires the following hard and software:
PC with Windows OS and CROSSCAP Multi-Client software (see chapter Introduction, System requirements) Card reader Signature card or multiple signature card for batch signature License and software for the CROSSCAP Enterprise signature module (see chapter Introduction, Features and versions)
Signature card
In order to apply secure or "qualified" signatures, secure signature equipment needs to be used, which in Germany tends to be based on signature chip cards. The crypto chip on these cards stores private signature keys and private encryption and authentication keys in a format that cannot be deciphered. During digital signatures, signatures are generated in these cards, not on the PC.
CROSSCAP Enterprise supports signature cards from the following certification service providers and trust centers:
D-TRUST GmbH
DATEV eG and the virtual trust center operated by DATEV
TeleSec (Deutsche Telekom AG)
For batch signage, you will need to use a multiple signature card (which will allow the generation of multiple signatures with a single PIN input).
Card reader
Class 2 card readers (with an integral keyboard, but without display) and class 3 card readers (with an integral keyboard and a display) are supported using the PC/SC and CT-API standards.
