 Capturing and signing

CROSSCAP Enterprise will allow you to efficiently capture large numbers of documents. If required, you may also add legally compliant digital signatures (optional).

CROSSCAP Enterprise offers a multitude of functions for image processing, text and barcode recognition, as well as batch-based document processing.

CROSSCAP Enterprise is designed as a single-workstation solution and will support all popular TWAIN-compatible scanners. It can be expanded into a multi-user enterprise solution using  and may easily be integrated into existing document or content management systems.

The CROSSCAP Enterprise target audience are all users requiring a high-performance software for document capture. Typical customers are small or mid-sized companies, but also banks, insurance companies, governmental agencies and organisations from the health sector.

Scanning and processing

CROSSCAP Enterprise's TWAIN interface has been implemented so that it can be used with all popular scanner systems.

CROSSCAP Enterprise fully supports multistream scanning.

Document separation within a batch can either be controlled through bar codes, patch codes or blank pages, or be performed manually.

Countless functions will help you to optimize image quality, e.g. automatic deskew for misaligned documents, removal of dirt and dust from the document and automatic removal of unwanted borders.

CROSSCAP Enterprise can detect blank pages and is able to automatically exclude these from output.

CROSSCAP Enterprise enables you to create a freely defineable document index and to output this index as a file.

Ease of use

CROSSCAP Enterprise features a clear-cut menu system which meets current Microsoft Office™ standards and allows for quick familiarization with the product. All menu items can easily be adapted to the user's local language, and languages may even be switched while the program is up and running.

Bar code and text recognition

CROSSCAP Enterprise incorporates an OCR-engine which will recognize all major West European languages. Recognized text may be output separately or as index information, but it is also possible to create fully searchable PDF files (with a hidden text layer), which will make finding documents and retrieving information that much easier.

The barcode engine will recognize and read 1D and (optionally) 2D bar codes anywhere in the image (a 2D bar code will store substantially more information than a one-dimensional barcode).

Digital signatures (optional)

Electronic signatures are becoming increasingly important. For public administration or in the health industry, legal regulations even require that certain digitally created documents have certified signatures.

CROSSCAP Enterprise allows signatures to be imbedded in accordance with the German Digital Signature Act (SigG), thus confirming that the digital documents match the original paper documents. The resulting electronic documents comply with the legal requirements for long-term storage of sensitive documents.

CROSSCAP Enterprise assigns digital signatures after the capturing process is complete. For this procedure, CROSSCAP Enterprise will utilize signature modules from either Secrypt GmbH or OpenLimit SignCubes AG. With either module, signatures can applied in batches.
