Text recognition language

The text recognition language must be matched to the language of your documents. Set the language according to your documents to achieve a good recognition rate. This setting particularly affects the correct recognition of diacritical characters (e.g. in umlauts) and country-specific special characters.

 

Mode

Here you can choose between the Speed and Quality modes.

 

Auto rotate

Automatically rotates the image to an upright position based on the text orientation. Text recognition only works if the text is in an upright position.

 

Deskew

Automatically straightens the image. This generally results in significantly better text recognition.

 

Clean

This function automatically removes minor imperfections (spots) from the image. This may result in better text recognition. 

 

Halftone removal

This function removes grayscale text backgrounds.

 

Hole removal

This function removes any holes.

 

Segmentation

This function analyzes the image before text recognition. For documents containing different areas (text fields, tables, images), this can result in a significantly better recognition rate.
