Finalize via process manager

In the context of a CROSSCAP Enterprise system, the process manager handles the transmission of scanned images, from  CROSSCAP Scan-Clients to the CROSSCAP Enterprise server. If enabled, the process manager can be used to manually delay or schedule the transmission of image data. This, in turn, provides a means of prioritizing (sequencing) the processing of batch-jobs, on a CROSSCAP Enterprise server.

Finalize via process manager disabled

If finalisation via process manager is disabled (checkbox unticked), then image data will be transferred to the CROSSCAP Enterprise server as soon as the Finalize (batch) button is pressed, on the CROSSCAP Scan-Client - regardless of whether the process manager is active, or not.

Finalize via process manager enabled

If finalisation via process manager is enabled (checkbox ticked), then all image data from the CROSSCAP Scan-Clients using this project template will be transferred to the CROSSCAP Enterprise server only when the process manager on that particular CROSSCAP Scan-Client is active (the process manager can be activated manually or through scheduling). Until the process manager becomes active, all image data from completed scan-jobs will accumulate, on the CROSSCAP Scan-Client.
