ICC profiles are standardized data sets defining the color space used by imaging devices. More specifically, they are used to match color spaces across a chain of imaging devices (such as scanners, monitors, printers). Use this function to enforce a (batch and scanner specific) ICC profile, during image processing.
Output:
Scanner name
The name of the scanning device (use the name shown in the TWAIN interface or scanner settings). As soon as image data is received from this device, the ICC profile specified below will be loaded.
Profile name
The file name of the ICC profile to be loaded (choose from drop-down list). Beforehand, the file needs to be copied to the default ICC directory on your Windows machine. On Windows 7 machines e.g., this is C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color.
Switched on
Switches this module on or off. Turning this function off will preserve all settings, for later use (as opposed to removing the function). Useful when developing or troubleshooting project templates.
Image processing on server (CROSSCAP Enterprise only)
Image processing requires substantial amounts of CPU capacity. In order to relieve CROSSCAP Scan-Clients from this task and speed up all other processing, image processing functions may be selectively transferred to the CROSSCAP Enterprise server.
If this option is activated (On), then execution of this function will be deferred and processed by the CROSSCAP Enterprise server, later on. Deferred image processing will occur during the pre-process workflow step (see chapter Enterprise Server, section System workflow Enterprise).
